The Palace Project

Looking to expand your selection of digital books and audiobooks? Check out a new lending service, The Palace Project, provided by the Vermont State Department of Libraries. Palace is a simple way to begin reading or listening eBooks and audiobooks on your device. Find your library, enter your barcode and pin, and begin reading in less than three taps on the screen.

Patrons must download the Palace App for their iOS or Android devices to access the service. For additional help, please call the library or stop by the front desk with questions or for assistance!

Libby (Green Mountain Library Consortium)

Enjoy eBooks on your electronic device and audiobooks wherever you go with access to OverDrive/Libby. Patrons can download the Libby app on any device to start accessing materials today! Plus, the best part? Listen Up is open 24/7 to help you when you are ready for your next read.

Patrons can browse the collection on their computers, or get started by downloading the Libby app from the Google Play or Apple Store.

Universal Class

Ready to get back to school on your own terms? New Haven Library cardholders have access to Universal Class through the Vermont State Online Library. Universal class provides over 500 non-credit personal enrichment courses on a variety of topics including photography, creative writing, arts, accounting, Microsoft Office and Excel, and much, much more. 


Cardholders may register for up to five classes at a time and all classes must be completed in a six-month period. Each course is hosted by a real instructor who is available for questions via email.
